If you are looking for a free version of LM Tools, you can avail it anytime you want. You can use it for maximum one month. However free version will have limited number of virtual users. Typically in free version 20 virtual users are provided for one month. To get clarity from hardware requirement perspective, please refer below section.

LM Tools Components

LM Tools typically has three components installed in either 1 machine or 3 different machines.

  • Web server (front end interface)
  • Controller (the central agent)
  • Multiplier (the simulation agent)

Please refer below diagram.

While LM Tools provide controller and web server in cloud free of cost, the Multiplier machine (the simulation agent) need to be provided by user. User may have its product (system under test) in cloud and user can have one more machine in cloud (with fixed global IP address) and use it as Multiplier machine. Here are the important information in regard to free version.

Important Information
  • Only 20 virtual users are provided for free version. In a commercial version, you can opt for as many virtual users you want.

  • The Multiplier machine (the simulation agent) must have a fixed global IP address as license depends on IP address. If IP address changes frequently, it is difficult to issue new license every time IP address changes.

  • Machine specification - 2.4 GHz, 2GB RAM, 20GB HD and Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, 64 bit OS

  • Initially to get started, our support team will help you to configure a first working test case for you.

  • If you are looking for having Multiplier machine with local IP address, it is not supported (because of connectivity issues between Multiplier and Controller / Web server). However you can go for commercial version, and all three components will be installed in your machines with local IP addresses.

  • With proper configuration you can avoid data / bandwidth cost completely, our support team will guide you in this regard.
