RTP

RTP (Real-time Transport Protocol) is used to exchange media (audio / video) between peers. Any RTP packet consists of header and payload section. The codec output goes as payload in RTP packet. As part of SIP / IMS call, RTP sessions are established between peers.

LM Tools supports RTP compliant to RFC 3550.

In a typical audio/video session LM Tools reads encoded audio data from a pre-recorded file and sends it to other peer. Since LM Tools SIP / IMS load testing solution supports millions of SIP session together, you can effectively simulate millions of RTP sessions at a time.
